Hi Tim,
Could you:
- Be more specific about which I’m wrong?
- Share your alleged studies that All conservatives are more charitable than All liberals, and who your source is? And give your definition of a liberal and a conservative, because that’s a vast spectrum and you don’t like stereotypes, do you?
- Highlight where in my comments I said ANYTHING about ALL conservatives?
- Highlight where in my comments where I said, “conservatives don’t care about other issues?”
- Explain what you mean by “I can’t believe people still think this.” What people — thinking what, exactly?
Because I think you saw a comment with which you don’t agree, skimmed the content, and interpreted it through your filter instead of reading the words. Just like you’re going to do with this text.
You’re incapable of hearing my message because you’re blinded by your deep-seated thoughts, beliefs, and opinions.
Which, fundamentally, is MANY people’s problem when it comes to having an intelligent debate about an issue.
I’m a writer, I choose my words very carefully, and I know what I said.
I made a point about a finite group of people. I specifically said, “the conservatives (anti-abortionists) who protest in front of abortion clinics should use their time and money to do something loving, kind, and decent to help the women entering abortion clinics instead of treating them like criminals.
Imagine if a group of pro-lifers hugged and helped the women entering abortion clinics and offered them long-term financial assistance if they had their babies instead of screaming at and them and waiving them blown up photos of bloody fetuses?
And I’m not talking about giving up their babies. I mean helping them keep them.
I think the protestors that stand outside abortion clinics and harass the women who enter are hypocrites. Their actions are despicable.
That’s my opinion, I have every right to it, and I don’t care if you agree with me. You don’t get to tell me my opinion is wrong.
If you want to tell me I got my facts wrong, I’m all ears. Just be prepared to prove it.
